Attend a Seminar
The first step in becoming a SUBWAY franchisee in North Carolina is to attend a free Orientation Seminar at our office in Chapel Hill, NC. This is a great opportunity to learn more about how SUBWAY will work with you and what is expected from franchise owners. You will learn about the SUBWAY philosophy and be prompted to consider your own goals and personality. You will have the opportunity to ask questions following the information session. The last part of the seminar involves taking the Wonderlic Basic Skills Test.
Develop a Business Plan
Following your attendance at one of our orientation seminars and once we have received notification that you have passed both of the Basic Skills Test sections, we will e-mail all necessary paperwork to continue the approval process. This includes detailed guidance on developing a complete business plan with staffing and payroll projections, hours of operation and pricing recommendations. You will also be asked to provide detailed financial statements.
Meet with Company Management
Once your business plan and financial statements have been reviewed by our Franchise Sales staff, you will be invited for a personal interview with our Chief Operating Officer. This will be your opportunity to discuss with him your specific expectations and plans for your SUBWAY restaurant. He will review your business plan and together you will agree to the elements of operations, marketing and development that will positively impact your store and set you on the path to independent business ownership.
