SUBWAY® Scholarship Fund

2010 Scholarship Recipients

SUBWAY® Scholarship Fund

Peter S. Slomianyj, President of NCSGI and a graduate of the University of Connecticut, worked his way through college and was himself the recipient of scholarships. 26 years ago, company management established a fund with the help of the SUBWAY® Family & Friends to provide similar scholarships to SUBWAY® employees in North Carolina. Each year the SUBWAY®Team in North Carolina continues to raise funds for this cause in an effort to provide much needed support for even more college students.

To date, the SUBWAY® Scholarship Fund, a component of the North Carolina Community Foundation (NCCF), has awarded over 140 individual scholarships, totaling nearly $197,125. The NCCF is a statewide community foundation serving North Carolina and has made $161 million in grants since its inception in 1988.

The success of the scholarship fund is providing a bright future for SUBWAY® employees and their children throughout North Carolina.
